Epaderm Ointment has three uses. When bathing with Epaderm Ointment, melt four grams (approximately the size of a £2 coin or a heaped teaspoon) into a tumbler of warm water before adding to the bath. Soaking the skin in Epaderm Ointment for optimum rehydration helps skin by being a step of complete emollient therapy.
This approach creates a soothing and moisture rich soak, which aids treatment. Be sure to pat dry with a soft towel rather than rubbing to keep as much water in the skin as possible. For additional skin comfort, use Epaderm Cream after the bath for complete emollient therapy. Epaderm Cream can be applied immediately after washing to reduce the loss of essential oils from the skin.
Epaderm is suitable for all ages, including babies. Be careful when entering and exiting the tub as using the Epaderm Ointment as a bath additive can make the bathtub slippy.
