Epaderm Ambassador role for 2020
I am really pleased to be able to share some news with you today which I have been sitting on for a couple of months now! Way back in February, Epaderm chose me as one of their Ambassadors for this year. I am absolutely thrilled – and I would like to share my reasons why with you.
Looking after our skin
Since I was a child, I have suffered from eczema in one form or another. It tends to come out more when I am under stress and, as you may imagine, it is affecting me. Specifically a patch on my right hand next to my thumb.
I shared a post last October, explaining my family history and the effects of various skin conditions on both me and my children. With the fact that I have a toddler, a teen and I am in the midst of the menopause, our skin is all affected in different ways.
At almost 50, I am aware of the importance of my health which includes looking after my skin and have started to moisturise using Epaderm cream. I have found it both effective and soothing. The great thing is though, their range doesn’t just suit me – it is great for all of us.
The Epaderm Range
Epaderm is a brilliant range of skincare solutions for the whole family. They cater for dry and sensitive skin, including people with eczema and psoriasis and this includes babies and small children. It is recommended by doctors and is a 3-in-1 treatment which comes in an ointment or cream.
I find the Epaderm ointment soothing on the very dry, scaly patch on my hand which is currently painful. Ross uses it for his dry skin too. In turn, I also use the Epaderm cream as a general moisturiser.
Grace and Rex both currently use the Epaderm Junior range. Grace has sensitive skin and it is helpful for her because Epaderm is fragrance free as well as free from colouring and SLS. Because of this, I also use the cream on Rex’s bottom. We have just started potty training him but, whilst he is still sporadically using pull-ups during the day – and all night – the soreness on his bottom does affect him so we need to make sure we fight that with Epaderms help.
When I saw last year that Epaderm were looking for two new Ambassadors for 2020, I decided to share my story on Being Comfortable in my own skin – and what I wanted for my children in order to feel this way too.
I feel very honoured to be one of their Ambassadors. This is what they had to say about my entry:
“We loved the originality of Victoria’s blog post and the different angle it presented: firstly describing her personal eczema experience beginning in her early twenties and then her teenage daughter’s experiences. We also loved Victoria’s writing style as it was clear and easy to follow.”
Epaderm Judging Panel, group statement.
The announcement has been delayed due to the pandemic – but it has not stopped us working behind the scenes together on how we are going to share our year with Epaderm with you all. I am looking forward to explaining ways to help different age groups and skin types, as well as how we function as a family. On top of all that, I will be giving away the full range of Epaderm products to one lucky winner very soon.
I am pleased to be able to share this journey with fellow blogger, Kate, and she and I will be supporting each other along the way too. I hope you will follow our stories.
